19 Best Things to Do on a Night Out in Las Vegas, NV

Actualizado: 24 jun

Las Vegas, famously known as "Sin City," is a dazzling city where the lights never dim, and the excitement never fades! Whether you are on your honeymoon, a bachelorette party, or simply want a wild night out, Las Vegas has an array of unforgettable experiences waiting for you. From iconic landmarks to hidden gems, here are 19 must-try activities that promise an exceptional night out in Las Vegas.

Party

1. Dance the Night Away at one of Las Vegas’ Top Nightclubs

Las Vegas is well-known for its electrifying club scene! Saturday nights are perfect for grabbing your best friends and heading out to the best clubs in town, like Tao Nightclub at the Venetian, Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World, Jewel Nightclub at the Aria Resort & Casino, and many others.

As you walk down the Strip throughout the day, you are bound to run into club promoters who can help you get on the guest list for these top nightclubs for free or at a reduced cost, and sometimes you can even score free drinks!

(However, make sure you use a high level of skepticism when dealing with these individuals as there may be some scammers pretending to be a club promoter. But, in general, these promoters are a valid way to get in as the nightclubs pay them to make sure their establishment is full and lively.)

Nightclub vibes

Another great tip is to check out if you get free access to the nightclub at your hotel. For instance, we stayed at Resorts World during our last stay and were able to enter their nightclub, Zouk, when deadmau5 was going to DJ. Zouk is one of the newer nightclubs on the Las Vegas Strip, and it has quickly made its way into the list of the top nightclubs in Las Vegas.

The light shows and technological components at Zouk are top-tier! Word of advice - on our last visit (June 2023), we noticed that the nightclubs are only open Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night.

2. Start your Day with a Pool Party at the Renowned Beach / Day Clubs along the Strip

If you are not a nightclub person or you want to party both day and night, check out one of Las Vegas's famous beach clubs for the ultimate pool party! The pool parties are typically Thursday - Sunday "mornings," and they tend to host famous DJs.

For instance, DJ Pauly D has a residency with Marquee Dayclub in The Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino, and Steve Aoki has a residency at Wet Republic in the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. The beach clubs are a perfect place to enjoy live music/DJs, lounge in or by the pool, and have a refreshing drink in the middle of the day!

3. Level Up your Partying by going on a Party Bus Tour

Want to club hop and not worry about where to go and how to get there? Hop on a party bus and cruise along the famous Las Vegas Strip while you visit a few nightclubs or beach clubs.

If you have a big party, you can all rent out the bus together, or if it is just a few of you, you will join others on the bus for an unforgettable time!

We went on both a day party bus tour and a night party bus tour and enjoyed them both. Our day tour took us to two beach clubs, and we made a quick pit stop at the Fabulous Las Vegas Sign, while our night tour took us to three nightclubs!

We loved the tours - it gave us a taste of different clubs on the Strip, and we did not have to worry about scheduling an Uber or getting on the guest list - it was all planned out for us.

4. Party with a View at one of Las Vegas’ Rooftop Bars and Clubs

The ambiance of an establishment makes the experience, and if you enjoy open-air places with the best views, you may be interested in Las Vegas' Rooftop Bars and Clubs! Sip on crafted cocktails at high-rise rooftop clubs/bars like Foundation Room, BrewDog, and VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub. There are various rooftop bars in Downtown Las Vegas as well, like Commonwealth, Downtown Terrace Kitchen & Bar, and Oak & Ivy.

The synchronized water show set against the backdrop of the iconic Bellagio Hotel is a sight to behold! Depending on the day and time, you can catch a show every 15 to 30 minutes starting in the afternoon.

6. Enjoy a Fire-y Good Show at the Mirage Volcano

Towards the top of the Strip, you can catch the mesmerizing eruption of the Mirage Volcano, a breathtaking display of fire and water that will leave you in awe! The Volcano erupts on the hour at 8 pm, 9 pm, 10 pm, and 11 pm.

Check out this nightly spectacle before it disappears as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino construction begins to make room for the Guitar-shaped hotel. However, if you visit after the Hard Rock Guitar Hotel arrives on the Strip, it will also host a nightly light and music show that towers over the others in the surrounding area.

7. Witness a Mesmerizing Cirque du Soleil Show

There is no shortage of casinos in Las Vegas - a majority of the hotels along the Strip all have a casino inside. Try your luck on slot machines, table games, and poker rooms while you partake in the activities found on the Strip.

We are not gamblers, so we typically spend less than $5 playing the slots, but we did see someone win the top jackpot of $12,000 on one of the slot machines at the Wynn on our last visit.
However, gambling is a real addiction, and as the saying goes, "the House always wins." As such, enter the game floor with expectations and budgets set so your amazing, fun trip to Las Vegas does not turn into bankruptcy or addiction. Play responsibly!

13. Stroll down The LINQ Promenade

The LINQ Promenade is a pedestrian-only street brimming with open-air bars, dining, entertainment, and shopping. Additionally, there is a zipline that allows you to soar along the Promenade toward the High Roller Observation Wheel.

The High Roller stands at a towering height of 550 feet, providing exquisite views of the Las Vegas Strip and its surrounding areas. Situated in a central location on the Strip, the LINQ Promenade often features women dressed as showgirls and cops alongside men sporting Western attire.

They are available for photo opportunities and usually anticipate a tip afterward. However, exercise caution as some may aggressively seek money if not tipped.
