Bistrot Chez Rémy: Everything You Need to Know + Review

Updated: Sep 19

Bistrot Chez Rémy is a table service restaurant at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris. Located to the left of Ratatouille: The Adventure, you can catch a glimpse of the inside when exiting the ride, thus enticing you to want to experience the meal firsthand.

The restaurant’s concept shrinks you to the size of Rémy, inviting you to enjoy French cuisine in a bistro straight from the world of the Disney Pixar classic.

As you enter the waiting area, you will find various nods to the movie, like the Golden Fork, many other awards won by Chef Gusteau, and portraits of Alfredo, Colette, and Chef Gusteau.

On the way to your table, you will walk past an oversized menu, where Chez Rémy has a special message for his guests. In it, he welcomes you to his bistro, shares his excitement about introducing his latest dishes, hopes you are hungry, and wishes you a great meal!

As you follow the host or hostess to your seat, you will be surrounded by a Rat's Eye View, with oversized champagne corks, cocktail umbrellas, cookbooks, plates, and cutlery, creating an immersive atmosphere.

Once you sit down, the server will come by with a tall water pitcher for your table. Typically, the server will also bring out complimentary bread for you to enjoy as you peruse through the menu.

Our Review

Ratatouille: The Adventure Building

Availability

Going into the day, we did not have a reservation for Bistrot Chez Rémy. After seeing the restaurant through the glass windows near the exit of Ratatouille: The Adventure, we were immediately intrigued.

We checked the menu outside and were even more interested, but since it was early in the day, we could not ask about walk-in availability since they were closed.

Around dinner time, about an hour before the park closed, we decided to inquire, and to our surprise, they could seat us!

Décor and Ambiance

The waiting area features several movie-inspired touches, including the Golden Fork award and portraits of some of the characters from the film.

When we were seated, we passed a welcome message from Remy on a giant menu and oversized details like salt and pepper canisters, hanging pasta strainers, champagne cork chairs, and cocktail umbrella tables.

The décor truly made us feel like we had shrunk to the size of a rat, and the immersive atmosphere made it seem we were dining alongside Remy and Emile.

Complimentary Bread

Water and Bread

Shortly after we were seated, our server brought us a pitcher of water but no bread, even though other tables had received both. Time passed, we received our starters, and just before the main course arrived, I asked the server about the bread.

She confirmed it was complimentary and brought some over. It was odd that it was not offered to us initially, especially since other tables seemed to get it automatically.

Starter

We ordered the Mixed Greens with Roquefort Cheese, Tomato Confit, Poached Egg, Walnuts, Pear, and Kitchen Garden Vinaigrette.

Unfortunately, we did not like it very much. While most of the ingredients were fine, the Roquefort Cheese was too strong for our taste, making the dish less enjoyable.

Main Course

For our main course, we had the Grilled Steak and French Fries - it was fantastic! The steak was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. I got the Chef sauce, which we loved, while Matthew ordered the Brie sauce, which was not quite as appealing.

The fries were crispy and well-salted, balancing the dish nicely. Our entrees also came with a small portion of ratatouille, which was a lovely tribute to the movie and tasted great.

Dessert

We opted to skip dessert, as none of the options stood out to us, especially given the €15 price tag.

Overall Review

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Bistrot Chez Rémy! The ambiance, detailed décor, and immersive experience were impressive, and our main courses were delicious. If you want to splurge at Walt Disney Studios Park, this is a fantastic spot to consider.
