Your Guide to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party [2025]
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is a special event at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park during the Halloween Season! It is a lot of fun for the whole family, and everyone can come dressed in their favorite Halloween costume.
From trick-or-treating, magic shots, and characters in their Halloween costumes to parades, fireworks, and specialty eats – there is something for everyone to enjoy when attending this frightfully fun special event!
What’s new in 2025?
You can meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse together at Town Square Theater, check out Storybook Circus turned into a spooky (but family-friendly) spot for little ones, and dance the night away at ZOM-BEATZ BASH, a high-energy party inspired by ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires.

Event Dates and Tickets
This party occurs on select nights from Friday, August 15, 2025, to Friday, October 31, 2025, from 7 pm to midnight!
Although the party is from 7 pm to midnight, you can enter the park at 4 pm on your party date and enjoy the park during regular park hours.

Furthermore, ticket prices range from $119 to $229. Disney Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members get a $10 discount per ticket on their Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets on select nights!
If you are interested in attending the party, visit their website to see the available dates and how much the tickets are for those select dates.
As of 8/18/25, only eight parties have tickets available, as the other dates are sold out. The remaining tickets range from $129 to $229.
Trick-or-Treating

Starting at 4 pm on your party night, you can grab your MNSSHP wristband, map, and treat bag and be ready to start trick-or-treating right when the party begins at 7 pm.
There are various treat stations throughout the park where they will scoop candy into your treat bag.
Some cast members are super generous with their scoops, and towards the end of the night, they tend to all be a little more giving!

You will receive a teal-colored treat bag if you or anyone in your party has food allergies.
These individuals can proceed to trick-or-treat at the regular treat locations, and they will get teal tokens to redeem at the allergy-friendly centers in Liberty Square or Main Street USA, for allergy-friendly treats!
Your Favorite Characters All Dressed Up

One of the most fun things about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is spotting your favorite Disney pals in their Halloween best! Here is a listing of who you can find and where:
Main Street, U.S.A.
- NEW in 2025: Mickey and Minnie together in their Halloween costumes – Town Square Theater

Tomorrowland
- Stitch rocking out in his Rock ‘n’ Roll costume – across from Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor
Be sure to have your camera ready (and maybe even your autograph book) because these character moments make for the best party memories!
For the more popular / unique characters, expect long lines and high wait times. On average, the wait times range from one and a half hours to two and a half hours for the rare characters.
However, the more common characters throughout the park will have shorter wait times, like Goofy, the Little Mermaid with Prince Eric, Princess Jasmine, Aladdin, Genie, and Jafar!

Unique Character Sightings
Keep an eye out for Disney Villains making appearances, like Mother Gothel and Cruella De Vil greeting guests on Market Street at the party entrance in the front of the park (though their times vary by night).
You can also spot Maleficent and the Evil Queen over at the Princess Fairytale Hall queue. Haunted Mansion fans will not want to miss the Hitchhiking Ghosts, who appear on the Frontierland balcony and even on the Diamond Horseshoe stage throughout the evening.
Plus, Miss Carlotta, Madam Renatta, and Broome the Butler are waiting by the Haunted Mansion graveyard to chat with guests.
And do not forget a few other fun surprises—Donald Duck dressed in his Halloween costume near Mickey’s PhilharMagic and Romeo McGrowl making an appearance at the Country Bear Musical Jamboree.
Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade

The parade route runs from Frontierland towards Main Street USA, at 8:15 pm and 11:15 pm on party nights. You do not want to miss this parade, as it is full of your favorite Disney characters and Disney Villains!
A few moments before the parade begins, the Headless Horseman trots down the parade route, and you do not want to miss it!

The first parade of the night is usually pretty crowded; however, we found some great spots near Frontierland and watched the parade both times!
Some of my favorites during the parade were the Headless Horseman, Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle as the Sanderson Sisters, the Grave Diggers, Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph, and the Disney Villians section towards the end – you do not want to miss a moment of the parade!
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

This spelltacular show occurs in front of Cinderella’s Castle at 9:05 pm, 10:35 pm, and midnight. In October, they will add an extra showing at 7:35 pm.

Be sure to join the wicked fun fest with the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus and their frightening colleagues of Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, and many others!
You do not want to miss out on this show, especially if you love the Disney Villains! It felt weird to cheer for the Villains, but it was a great show, and they deserved the applause!
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks

If you are a fan of Jack Skellington and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, you will love the fireworks show during MNSSHP! This fireworks show happens at 10:00 pm in front of Cinderella’s Castle with projections, laser lights, and music.
You will see your favorite Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy, along with some Disney Villains for this spectacular fireworks and projection show!

To elevate your fireworks experience, you can purchase tickets to Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace.
Enjoy delicious desserts, a variety of cheeses, and refreshing beverages, including an assortment of beer and wine for those 21 and over, as you view the fireworks show! Tickets are $119 for adults and $75 for children (3 – 9), including tax and gratuity.
Specialty Sips, Bites, and Merchandise

Throughout the park, you will find various sweet, savory, and spicy food and drink options and tons of spooky, fun Halloween merchandise only available during the party!
This year’s menu will feature party-exclusive bites and sips, including the Madame Leota Séance Candle (a mix of red velvet cake with cookies and cream mousse), a Mickey-shaped pumpkin cheesecake with graham cracker crust and white chocolate whipped ganache, and a hearty beef short rib served with purple potatoes, braised in red wine with figs, peppers, and a hint of dark chocolate.
And that is just the beginning—there will be plenty more spooky treats to discover throughout the night!

Bring a little bit of the party home with event-exclusive merchandise! You will find all kinds of not-so-scary souvenirs, from apparel and accessories to drinkware, home décor, collectible pins, and even special Annual Passholder items.
Most of these treasures can be picked up at the Emporium, but be sure to shop early—merchandise is only available while supplies last.
Other Festive Experiences
The Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet and Rusty Cutlass

In Frontierland, The Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet performs haunting melodies at 7:00 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:45 pm, 9:35 pm, 10:30 pm. Not only do they sing beautifully, they are quite “punny” as well!
Across the lands in Adventureland, you can catch the Rusty Cutlass, a pirate band, at 7:15 pm, 8:15 pm, 9:15 pm, 10:30 pm, 11:30 pm.
Dance Parties
Inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, you can dance the night away with your favorite Disney Junior characters like Vampirina and Doc McStuffins at the Disney Junior Jam!
Also, in Tomorrowland at the Rockettower Plaza Stage, you will find the ZOM-BEATZ BASH (a dance party that celebrates the new Disney Channel film ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires). These parties are from 7 pm to midnight and are always so much fun!
Magic Shots, Pictures with Special Effects

There are a ton of Magic Shots throughout the park during the Halloween party! You can get a picture with the Headless Horseman, the Hitchhiking Ghosts, Donald’s nephews, and many others.
Rides and Attractions
During the party, you will tend to see shorter lines compared to regular park hours since there is so much to do! As such, you can enjoy your favorite attractions like Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Moreover, Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor all have a Halloween overlay – whether it be absolute darkness, Halloween lights and music, or the Monsters learning about the human holiday of Halloween!
Lastly, you can ride TRON Lightcycle / Run during the party through a regular Standby Line, unlike two years when you needed a Virtual Queue reservation. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will also be open during the party, and it will be a regular Standby Line as well.
Top Tips for Your First Party Experience at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

- Understand that you cannot do everything in one night
- Arrive to the Ticket & Transportation Center by 3 pm or get in line at your resort for the bus at 3 pm
- Figure out what your focus of the party will be before arriving
- Wear comfortable shoes and lightweight costumes the day of the party – it most likely will be hot
- Attend the later shows and parades as the first ones tend to be more crowded
- If you plan on getting a lot of candy, bring a backpack to store your candy

It is a good idea to plan for the night before arriving at the park so you are not making any crazy or hasty decisions (and make sure you stick to it).
It was our first time at MNSSHP, and although we had a great time, we should have better prepared ourselves to get the most out of the experience!

Our goal was to trick-or-treat and experience the parade, fireworks show, and Hocus Pocus show. We planned to attend the 10:15 PM fireworks show, 11:15 PM parade, and midnight Hocus Pocus show, with trick-or-treating beforehand.
However, we ended up watching the earlier parade, almost missing our Tron virtual queue call time (N/A in 2025) and ultimately missing the only fireworks shows at the party. We were disappointed, but the midnight Hocus Pocus show made up for it!

We also spent too much of our time trick-or-treating that we did not get to visit the Dance Party at the Rockettower Plaza Stage, go on Space Mountain, or attend a Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor showing, but we did get lots of candy.
Plus, since we did the treat trials too early, our backpack was getting full and heavy too soon. Although things did not go as planned, we still had a good time and got our money’s worth!
